Have been putting on a new warp on for what feels like weeks now… only finding a spare hour here or there to sneak into the weaving studio, not even mentioning that really dumb mistake that meant I had to tie everything on ALL OVER again. Today I pulled everything through and FINALY sat down at the bench. Thank god! What a fantastic feeling to be on this side of the loom.
Hey, hello… how did this guy get in here? #littletinybabyscorpioninthebathtub
Going into the home stretch – trim almost done on both wonder valley cabins. It's been pretty rough for everyone working in these totally off the grid spaces (no solar and no water) during the hottest point of the summer. A few days ago the thermometer inside the cabin read 118, and it's been mostly 108 outside.
Just got to visit Ry Rocklin at his new JT trophy modern house – I'm pretty darn excited about this project… more info soon, as things unfold. 🍾🍾🏅🏋
I have a new, extremely fascinating, and slightly vexing hobby – amateur loom tech. Today's discovery: a totally mangled spring hidden inside the cloth beam pulley. Who would have guessed? Thanks to Bob at AVL for his meticulous disassembly instructions. #azwestweavingstudio
Desert living… Got this in the mail a few days ago – back side reads: Temporary closure notice – Johnson Valley shared use are will be closed for military training from August 14th 2016 to August 21st. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING TRAINING"
